Suggested variables for BayMiner EWS

Using our pre-developed EWS models, we can work with you to develop a semi-custom model, base it on your product portfolio and match the model to the requirements of your market, services, geography etc. Also localisation help is available to adapt to the cultural needs of various sales companies.

Process model development
During the course of the model development BayMiner experts recommend for the customer which variables in their own data they should take into use in the model. The customer also gets recommendations regarding:

data source (ERP, CRM, SCM or legacy means such as spreadsheets).
data type; absolute value, relative, percent etc.
what additional data may be necessary to collect.

Example, screening of tender inquiries for complex machinery
An example of what data could be used to screen tender inquiries for delivery projects. To start with select 10 …20 of these about which you have data available and you feel are appropriate.

Definition of the product, 2...3 variables.: Type of project.; Key characteristics, such as product performance.
Definition of the third parties, 2…3 variables: The planning responsibility.
Prices and costs, 2…3 variables.: Price of the project.; Type of payment contract.; Profit or contribution margin.; Financing type.
Definition of sales, market and customer, 2…3 variables.: Segment the project belongs to.; The type of client.
The damage caused by the failure projects in the past, 2…3 variables.: Delay in days; Extra costs in thousand €.; Associated client; Alternatively classification done by experts.
Process definitions, 2 …3 variables.: Own region or branch that is tendering.; Experience of the local organisation with similar projects.; Similar projects exist for referencing.; Tendering information is adequate.
Engineering: The engineering team’s experience with similar projects.; Technical skills in sales.
